Corrections come first

Every article here rests on published research and public records, and the sources are listed at the foot of each piece. If a figure is wrong, a study has been superseded, or a link is dead, we would rather know. Tell us which article and which sentence, and we will go back to the source.

Corrections are made in the article itself, not quietly in the background. If the correction changes what the piece concludes, we say so in the article.

What we can help with

• Where a specific number in an article came from, and which study or dataset it sits in
• Permission to quote or reference the work
• Anything broken on the site — a page that will not load, an image that does not appear, a link that goes nowhere

What we cannot help with

We cannot give personal advice. Questions that begin “should I” — about your own health, your own insurance, your own money, your own legal position — need somebody who knows your circumstances and carries professional responsibility for the answer. Everything published here is general, written for a reader we have never met, and that is a limitation of the format rather than modesty.

If an article raises something that worries you about your own situation, the right next step is a doctor, a broker, a solicitor or a financial adviser who can see the whole picture.

Advertising and commercial enquiries

We do not accept sponsored articles, paid guest posts, link insertions, or any arrangement where money buys a mention. Approaches of that kind will not receive a reply.

How long we take

This is a one-person site run alongside a full-time job, so a reply usually takes a few days. Corrections are dealt with ahead of everything else.
